Imagine Santa Monica

  “Imagine Santa Monica” is the new database for the Santa Monica Public Library Image Archives.   Explore images of Santa Monica Bay area history by accessing the  site directly at http://digital.smpl.org., or click on the link to the Image Archives from the Library’s home page  www.smpl.org.

New photographs have been added to the original Archives online which illustrate Santa Monica City, its landscape, piers, bathhouses, historic buildings, ballrooms and more.  Images donated by the Pacific Palisades Historical Society are now also a part of the Library’s image collections creating an extended regional archive of the Santa Monica Bay area. The searching capabilities of the new database are flexible and user friendly.  High resolution digital images and photographic reprints are available for purchase from the Library.
