November 21, 2023 -- City Hall will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Friday, the Big Blue Bus (BBB) will operate on weekend hours and some parking meters won't be charging.

In addition to City Hall, the following facilities will be closed on Thursday and Friday:

Colorado Yards, Office at Woodlawn Cemetery, The Transit Store, City Yards Operation Center, Santa Monica Swim Center, and Santa Monica Public Library.

The Tennis Office at Reed Park, the Office at Memorial Park and The Cove Skatepark will be closed Thanksgiving Day and operate on a reduced schedule Friday.

The Annenberg Community Beach House Office and Gated Area will be closed on Thanksgiving day.

The following BBB lines will will not be in service on Thursday and Friday:

Express 7, Rapids 3, 7 and 10, and Routes 5, 15, 16, 41, 42, 43, and 44 will not be in service. The Transit Store and Customer Service will be closed.

Parking meters will not be enforced on Thanksgiving Day, except for meters that are enforced daily according to posted signage. Meters that are enforced daily must be paid.

Preferential Parking (residential/visitor permits) will not be enforced on Thanksgiving Day.

All City of Santa Monica beach lots and pay-by-space lots are enforced 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, including Thanksgiving Day.

There will be no refuse, recycling, or yard/green waste collection or street sweeping on Thanksgiving Day.
