December 2, 2011 -- A Santa Monica talent manager was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of molesting one of his under-aged clients, and police believe there could be other victims.

The Los Angeles Police Department arrested Matt Weiss, who runs a talent agency in Santa Monica that specializes in child actors, after a former client accused Weiss of sexually assaulting him, according to news reports.

Weiss has an apartment in Santa Monica and a house in Woodland Hills, according to Sergeant Richard Lewis of the Santa Monica Police Department.

The warrant was served in Santa Monica, and SMPD assisted with the arrest, Lewis said. However, LAPD is handling the investigation because the suspect has dual residence and the complaint was first filed with the LAPD.

Lewis had no further comment, and LAPD did not issue a release.

According to new reports, the accuser is an 18-year-old man who claims that Weiss assaulted him over a three-year period when he was 11 or 12 years old.

Reports say that once the accuser turned 15, the abuse stopped, but police believe that there may have been other victims.

Weiss is being held at Men's Central Jail with bail set at $300,000, triple the standard because there could be multiple victims, according to news reports.

Weiss' Santa Monica-based talent agency, Matt Weiss Management, caters to “established celebrities of all ages and newcomers who can play under 18,” according to the company web site. Weiss has worked in entertainment since the late 1980s and began working as a talent agent in the mid-90s.

His website also claims that a division of Matt Weiss Management represents cult film actors, including Gunnar Hansen from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre film and Judy O'Day who starred in The Night of the Living Dead.

Currently, Matt Weiss Management represents dozens of child actors, the majority of whom are based in Los Angeles.

Matt Weiss Management could not be reached for comment.
