CityTV Nominated for Four Emmys

July 22, 2010 – CityTV Santa Monica has received four award nominations for the 62nd Annual Los Angeles Area Emmys, including nods for excellence in Public Service Announcements (PSAs) and Public, Municipal and Operator Produced Cable.

CityTV’s eco-friendly show “Be Green,” which promotes ways to live a green lifestyle, was nominated for the Public, Municipal and Operator Produced Cable Emmy® award. The show was produced in association with the City’s Office of Sustainability and the Environment.

CityTV’s public service announcement videos “Kids Finance PSA” and “Westside Food Bank” both received nominations in the Public Service Announcement category, as did a PSA called “LA County Foster Care: Share Your Heart,” produced in a partnership with Los Angeles County.

“Share Your Heart” and “Westside Food Bank” were produced, directed, and written by volunteer members of the Women in Film PSA Production Program. This is the second year a show by the two-year-old program partnership is nominated for an Emmy®.

The Emmy® award winners will be announced at a ceremony on July 31, 2010 in North Hollywood.
