PAL
Looking for Golf Sponsors |
By Lookout Staff
December 1 – Score a hole in one by helping kids
develop skills and self esteem and have a golf tournament named
after your company to boot.
The Santa Monica Police Department is looking for a “title sponsor”
for the Charity Golf Classic benefiting the Police Activities League
(PAL) on June 15, 2009 at Mountain Gate Country Club. The cost --
$50,000.
Companies who can’t afford the naming rights have plenty of other options
to help provide “a casual, no cost, nurturing environment,” where
children between the ages of 6 and seventeen can “safely explore their
own potential,” according to PAL’s mission.
Opportunities abound – from a $300 donation to have a company’s
name on a sign at a sponsored tee to $25,000 to be “Chief
Sponsor,” assuring high visibility at the tournament and all
related events.
“Embracing the six pillars of Character Counts, PAL enriches lives, develops
skills, and bolsters self-esteem,” according to the organization’s
mission.
“Trust and understanding flourish among the diversity of children, their
peers, dedicated adults, and officers of the community. Committed to creativity,
independence, and leadership, PAL encourages youth to reach their full potential.”
A unique community organization, PAL “fosters trust between youth and
the men and women of the Santa Monica Police Department in a safe and nurturing
environment,” according to the organization.
The money raised from the 2009 Santa Monica Police Activities League Charity
Golf Classic will be used support educational efforts, arts programs and physical
fitness training.
