Correction to Story on City Salaries

In the October 24 article "What Will City Workers Make?" it was reported that budget resolutions approved by the City Council are in anticipation of the upcoming ballot measure U that changes civil protections for department heads.

While several titles were changed for a number of City positions, they were not in anticipation of the proposition, City staff said.

Further, while some employees -- including those mentioned in the planning department -- will receive raises, several employees mentioned in the staff report will keep the same salary or hourly rates that they are currently making.
