Last Chance to Weigh in on School District Budget

June 16 -- It’s budget time again, and the latest revision of the 2005-2006 School District budget will be on the agenda for public comment at Thursday night’s School Board meeting.

The good news is that the district “won’t have to make major cuts” and the budget is balanced, said Karen Garot, district spokesperson.

This revision takes into account Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s proposals for the 2005-06 State budget.

Thursday night is the last chance to give input at a regular board meeting.

The public hearing and adoption of the budget is scheduled for June 24 at 4:00 p.m. at the District office at 1651 Sixteenth Street.
