Armed Man Holds Up Gas Station

By Lookout Staff

April 4 -- A man armed with a handgun held up the Chevron station at 4th Street and Wilshire Boulevard Friday morning, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The suspect entered the station store at around 7:20 a.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money from an employee, said Lt. Frank Fabrega, a police department spokesman.

“The employee complied,” Farega said. The suspect was then seen in the alley on foot, he added.

The suspect is described as a black man, 6 feet tall and of medium build, police said. He was wearing a light-colored jacket, and had short black hair.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Robbery/Homicide Unit of the Santa Monica Police Department at 310-458-8451.
