Lord of the Land

Dear Editor,

A landlord by any other name is still a landlord. A landlord is a landlord is a landlord. Handle it Rosario! (“Costa Hawkins Has Saved Santa Monica Rental Housing,” June 22, 2004)

The lord of the land can do whatever he wants with the property, government restrictions mercifully excepted. Some landlords don't exploit their tenants but the majority do. Tenants handle it everyday. Landlords can too. It's only reality. It's not pretty, it just is.
