NOTICE INVITING APPLICATIONS
CITY OF SANTA MONICA
MEASURE V CITIZENS OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE

One seat available for a term ending December 31, 2011.
Applicants must reside in Santa Monica.
Applications due by noon, Tuesday, March 2, 2010.
Appointment to be made by City Council, March 9, 2010.

The Oversight Committee was created to audit the use of the proceeds of the Clean Beaches and Ocean Parcel Tax (also known as Measure V) adopted by voters in November, 2006.

Committee members must be qualified electors of the City of Santa Monica and may not hold paid office or employment in the City government.

No Santa Monica City Employee may serve as a member of any Board or Commission.

The State Political Reform Act requires committee members to disclose their interest and income which may be materially affected by their official action by filing a Statement of Economic Interest (Form 700) with the City Clerk’s office upon assuming office, and annually thereafter.

All current applications on file will be considered.
