Crime Report

Between April 14 and April 17 the Santa Monica Police Department received 1,275 calls for service. They include reports of three batteries, two assaults with deadly weapons, two felony child beatings and one suicide. This is a partial list.

Calls made on April 17, 2005:

1. 7:58 a.m. Suicide just occurred, 200 block of Palisades Park, report

2. 8:08 a.m. Runaway, 1700 block of 9th St., report

3. 11:09 a.m. Battery just occurred, 1600 block of 7th St., advised

4. 5:00 p.m. Drunk in public, Rite Aid @ 1800 Wilshire Blvd., arrest and report

5. 10:05 p.m. Drunk in public, 1200 block of Euclid St., arrest and report

6. 10:48 p.m. Shots fired, Marguerita Ave., gone on arrival

Calls made on April 16, 2005:

1. 7:24 a.m. Dead body/death investigation, 600 block of 11th St., report

2. 5:31 p.m. Felony child beating, 1300 block of 3rd St. Promenade, arrest and report

3. 6:08 p.m. Assault with a deadly weapon just occurred, Lot 3 South @ 1700 Appian Way, report

4. 10:27 p.m. Assault with a deadly weapon in progress, Mann Theatre @ 1300 3rd St. Promenade, arrest and report

5. 10:34 p.m. Battery report, 1200 block of Pico Blvd., field interview completed

6. 11:36 p.m. Dead body/death investigation, 1300 block of 15th St., report

2. 1:00 a.m. Officer needs assistance, Cloverfield Blvd./Broadway, general dispositions

3. 11:28 a.m. Battery just occurred, 1100 block of Pico Blvd., arrest and report

4. 1:38 p.m. Shots fired, 1600 block of Hill St.

5. 4:22 p.m. Shots fired, 2500 block of Kansas Ave., checks ok

6. 8:13 p.m. Felony child beating, report taken at Public Safety Facility @ 300 Olympic Dr.
