Between March 14 and March 16 the Santa Monica Police Department received 1,063 calls for service. They include reports of three grand thefts, two rapes and one sexual assault. This is a partial list.

2. 9:27 a.m. Battery just occurred, 2400 block of Lincoln Blvd., report

3. 10:48 p.m. Battery just occurred, Sav On @ 2500 Santa Monica Blvd., gone on arrival

4. 10:59 p.m. Shots fired, 3000 block of Linda Lane, gone on arrival

5. 11:07 p.m. Hit and run – felony, 1800 block of Ocean Ave., report

2. 6:49 a.m. Burglary report, 1100 block of Idaho Ave., report

3. 10:08 a.m. Felony child beating, McKinley Elementary @ 2400 Santa Monica Blvd., general dispositions

4. 10:10 a.m. Illegal weapon, Santa Monica High @ 600 Pico Blvd., arrest and report

5. 10:36 p.m. Grand theft report, 500 block of Broadway, report

6. 1:51 p.m. Lewd Conduct, Santa Monica Blvd., gone on arrival

7. 2:11 p.m. Grand theft report, 600 block of Pacific St., report

8. 7:23 p.m. Prowler report, 1000 2nd St., report
