Between March 7 and March 9 the Santa Monica Police Department received 1,014 calls for service. They include reports of three burglaries, two grand thefts and one rape. This is a partial list.

2. 1:19 p.m. Drunk in public, Pier Deck Parking @ 200 Santa Monica Pier, arrest and report

3. 1:52 p.m. Death investigation/dead body, 1200 block of 6th St., report

4. 3:38 p.m. Grand theft report, Loews Hotel @ 1700 Ocean Ave., report

5. 4:53 p.m. Battery just occurred, 3100 block of Santa Monica Blvd., field interview completed

6. 5:52 p.m. Warrant pickup, 12300 block of Culver Blvd., arrest and report

2. 4:39 a.m. Lo-jack hit, 2700 block of 4th St., report

3. 5:42 a.m. Attempted strong arm robbery just occurred at Post Office @ 1200 5th St., report

4. 8:36 a.m. Burglary report, 900 block of Harvard St., report

5. 8:39 a.m. Grand theft report, 2000 Santa Monica Blvd., report

6. 9:34 a.m. Recovery of a stolen vehicle, 1700 block of Lincoln Blvd., report

7. 1:22 p.m. Urinating in public, City Hall @ 1600 Main St., advised

8. 8:56 p.m. Battery just occurred, 200 block of Broadway, report
