| Police Ask for Help Finding John Travolta's Stolen Mercedes |

By Lookout Staff September 23, 2011 -- Santa Monica Police are asking the public's help in tracking down the car thieves who made off with John Travolta's Mercedes 280SL Friday.
Travolta told police that he parked the car in the 1400 block of Berkeley Street, between Santa Monica Boulevard and Broadway Street. He said he left the top of the convertible down and took the keys with him. About ten minutes later, he came back and found his car was gone. He called the police, who arrived around 3:45 p.m. The license plate of the brown, Mercedes 280SL convertible is 3RBZ737. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Steve Smetzer at (310) 458-8936, Sergeant Henry Ramirez at (310) 458-8453 or the Santa Monica Police Department at (310) 458-8495.
