By Lookout Staff June 29, 2010 -- For the second consecutive time, the arraignment has been postponed for Kelly Soo Park, the woman charged with involvement in the 2008 murder of aspiring actress and model Juliana Redding. Her arraignment, which was supposed to take place today, is now scheduled for July 6. Prosecutors last week alleged in a bail motion that Park had received $250,000 prior to the killing from her employer, Dr. Munir Uwayaday, the Los Angeles Times reported. More money went to Park’s family shortly before her arrest. Uwayaday had a failed business relationship with the victim’s father, according to published reports. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz blasted the prosecution and defense attorneys on Monday at the Airport Courthouse for leaking that information, according to The Times. The prosecution has asked for Park’s bail to be increased from $1 million to $5 million. Judge Schwartz is expected to rule on that on July 6. Park, 44, was arrested in Oxnard earlier this month along with Ronnie Wayne Case, 34. Prosecutors declined to charge Case, although he has not been eliminated as a suspect. The Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) has been asked to continue its investigation regarding Case. SMPD officials say there could be additional arrests in connection with the murder. Redding was found dead at age 21 in her apartment in March 2008 due to what SMPD officials said was an apparent assault. She had recently moved to the Los Angeles area from Arizona to pursue modeling and acting. Those with information about this case should contact Lt. Mike Beautz at 310-458-8488 or the SMPD Tip-line at 310-458-8449. Information can be e-mailed to tipline@smgov.net. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call WeTip at 1-800-78-CRIME.
