Arrests Made for 2008 Murder, More Arrests Possible

June 21, 2010 --Two suspects in the 2008 murder of an aspiring model and actress were arrested on Thursday afternoon. Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) officials say an investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible.

Kelly Soo Park, 44, and Ronnie Wayne Case, 34, were arrested in Camarillo without incident, according to the SMPD. They are both residents of that city. An investigation leading to their arrest was done in cooperation with several agencies, including the police departments of Oxnard and Torrance as well as the FBI.

In March 2008, 21-year-old Juliana Redding was found dead in her Santa Monica apartment due to an apparent assault. She had recently moved to the Los Angeles area from Arizona to pursue modeling and acting. (See article: 21 year old Woman Found Dead.htm , March 18, 2008.)

The suspects have been charged with murder with special circumstances and conspiracy. They are not eligible for bail. They are scheduled to be arraigned today.

Anonymous tips can also be made by contacting Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS through voice or text and at www.lacrimestoppers.org. Tipsters could qualify for a $1,000 reward by Crime Stoppers.
