| CityTV Earns Four Trophies at Awards Show | |

By Lookout Staff June 15, 2010 -- A City TV, Santa Monica’s government cable channel, was recognized four times at the recent STAR Awards for the States of California and Nevada (SCAN) chapter of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA). The event took place at the Hilton Hotel in Long Beach. Among the honors for CityTV was the award for Overall Excellence. This marked the eighth time in 12 years that CityTV has received this honor. The local channel also won top prizes for the Santa Monica Public Library Living Room Video (Promotions), the eco-friendly “Be Green” videos (Environmental Program) and for coverage of the Twilight Dance Series: Squirrel Nut Zippers (Performing Arts). Additionally, CityTV received second-place prizes in the categories of Public Service Announcements and Public Meeting Coverage. A third-place award went to the channel in the Training category. |
