July 15, 2010 -- A body that washed up on the beach in Ocean Park this weekend has been identified as that of West Hollywood resident Brian Patrick Dunn.

Dunn, 31, jumped off the Venice Pier at around 2 a.m. July 5. Dunn was reportedly drunk when he jumped into the high surf.

A fisherman discovered the body at around 8:20 Sunday morning on he 2300 block of Ocean Front Walk, according to authorities.

Dunn was not the only one who jumped into the water after July 4th celebrations, but the others all survived, authorities said.

Efforts by the Coast Guard to rescue Dunn were unsuccessful.
