October 26 -- Police are looking for one or more suspects
who fired several shots at an occupied car parked in a crime-prone
pocket of the Pico Neighborhood Tuesday night.
No one was injured in the shooting that took place at around 8 p.m. on the
1900 block of 19th street, said Lt. Alex Padilla, the police department spokesman.
According to the victims, they were “sitting in their parked vehicle
when another vehicle drove up along side of them,” Padilla said.
“The occupant(s) inside the suspect vehicle pointed a handgun at them
and fired several gunshots and then drove away southbound on 19th street towards
Pico Boulevard,” Padilla wrote in a statement released Thursday.
Although several bullets struck the victim’s vehicle, no one was injured,
police said.
It is not known what type of handgun was used, Padilla said.
The suspects were only described as two males in a gold colored four-door vehicle.
