Robber Hits Main Street Bank

April 15 – A masked robber held up a bank on Main Street Thursday morning and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The suspect entered the bank on the 2800 block of Main Street at around 10:40 a.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money, police said.

“The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and the dye pack,” said Lt. Rank Fabrega, referring to the pack in cash bags that permanently stains stolen money.

The suspect was last seen on Ashland, Fabrega said . No vehicle was seen or heard.

The suspect is described as a black man between 25 and 30 years of age, 5’5 to 5’10 with a medium build, police said.

The suspect was wearing a mask, a yellow and black baseball cap and a white T-shirt and blue denim shorts.
