March 11 -- Santa Monica police are searching for a man who may have exposed himself in the Pico Neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

A female motorist driving in the area of 12th Street and Michigan Avenue shortly before 4 p.m. "saw the suspect standing by a tree and exposing his genital area and possibly masturbating,” said Lt. Frank Fabrega, the police department spokesman.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic between 30 and 40 years of age, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, Fabrega said.

He has dark hair combed back and is clean shaven with a light complexion. He was wearing blue pants, a white shirt with blue vertical stripes and a white t-shirt, Fabrega said.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a black pick-up “with unknown items in the bed of the truck,” he said.

“We don’t have any victims at this time,” Fabrega said.
