Shots Fired in Pre-dawn Robbery Oct. 24 -- A robbery suspect early Friday morning fired two shots at his victim, missing both times before fleeing on foot, police said. The robbery occurred on the 1000 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at 5:35 a.m. when the suspect approached the victim, displayed a handgun and demanded his property, police said. During the robbery, the suspect fired two shots at the victim, said Lt. Frank Fabrega, the police department spokesman. The victim was not injured. The suspect fled on foot northbound on 10th Street from Santa Monica Boulevard, Fabrega said. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s. He is between 5’8” and 6’0”, with a thin build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The suspect’s vehicle is described a late 1990’s silver Mercury Sable.
