Police Search for Missing Woman

Feb. 18 -- Police are looking for a 21-year-old Santa Monica woman who disappeared Saturday under suspicious circumstances.

Kristine Louise Johnson was last seen driving a 1996 white Miata convertible and is thought to have been on the way to the Beverly Hills area, said Police Department spokesman Lt. Frank Fabrega. She was wearing blue jeans and was carrying a matching shirt.

"This is very uncharacteristic of her behavior," Fabrega said. "She hasn't been to work in two days... The circumstances behind her disappearance are suspicious in nature and a cause for great concern to her family and law enforcement."

Investigators are working to contact family and friends, but have little to work with so far.
"There's not a lot right now," Fabrega said.
