Time for Malibu to Step Up to the Plate

Now that Santa Monica has once again confirmed its support for our public schools perhaps it’s time for a wake-up call in Malibu. (“School Funding Agreement Scales Final Hurdle, May 12)

Recently, some of the parents in Malibu were complaining about a proposed revenue sharing plan. They wanted to make sure their dollars stayed in their local school in Malibu.

Perhaps they can now direct their efforts to the Malibu City Council. It is high time for the City of Malibu to step up to the plate and increase their commitment to the District as Santa Monica has selflessly done.
